- What is it?
The Frame and Wheel Bike Gear Fundraising Program allows you to turn your old or unused cycling gear into your Dempsey Challenge fundraising goal.
Who runs the Program?
The Program is operated by Frame and Wheel eBay Selling Services. Busytown Bikes in Lewiston is an Official Collection Partner for the Program.
How does it work?
Drop your gear with Busytown Bikes in Lewiston or drop it with Frame and Wheel in Portland. Provide contact information and please bring valid I.D.
What can be dropped off?
Bicycles, framesets, wheels, components, electronics, clothing, accessories, racks, tools: items that had an original retail value of more than $500 and are worth the effort to sell.
What can’t be dropped off?
Department store bikes, BMX bikes, children or youth bikes; beach cruisers or 26 inch mountain bikes; damaged or heavily used components; obsolete electronics; spin bikes.
What will happen to the gear?
Your items will be sold on the secondary market and the net proceeds credited to your account at the Dempsey Challenge within 30 days.
When can gear be dropped off?
You can drop your gear at anytime. You do not need to wait until the day of the Dempsey Challenge.
Why should I do this?
This is a great way to meet your Dempsey Challenge fundraising goal without having to ask friends and family for a contribution, clear the unused cycling gear in your basement and support the important mission of the Dempsey Center.
