Terms of Service
- Frame and Wheel provides its selling services on a consignment basis. This means 1) you are retaining Frame and Wheel to sell your items on your behalf and 2) that there will be a payout to you from the sale of your items.
- The payout is the net sum of cash that Frame and Wheel pays out to you from the sale of each of your items.
- Frame and Wheel calculates the payout to sellers on a cost plus basis. This means that you pay the expenses related to the sale of the item (eBay selling fees, any advertising expenses and any inbound shipping labels or third party pick up expenses) plus a percentage of the selling price of your item to Frame and Wheel.
- The percentage paid out to you is scaled so that the higher the selling price of your item, the greater your payout. Please see Appendix 3: Scaled Percentage Schedule
- The portion of proceeds from the sale of your items retained by Frame and Wheel covers the cost of sales which includes the following:
- Assisting with inbound shipping arrangements.
- Inventorying your items and sending you a copy.
- Disassembling, sorting, cleaning and identifying your items.
- Creating professional images and detailed written descriptions.
- Uploading and managing listings.
- Promoting items on social media platforms.
- Answering enquiries.
- Packing and shipping items.
- Resolving returns or feedback disputes.
- Frame and Wheel will send your payout in the form of a check within 90 days of the date your items arrive at our facility. The payout will include a Payout Summary and a list of the selling prices of your items. Please see Appendix 4 and Appendix 5: Sample Payout Summary.
The higher the selling price, the greater your payout
If your single item sells for $3,000, you can expect a payout of $2,000. This is because the payout for items that sell for more than $2,500 is 70 percent. If your single item sells for $1,000, you can expect a payout of $500. This is because the payout for items that sell for $1,000 is 50 percent. If your single item sells for $100, you can expect a payout of $20. This is because the payout for items that sell for $100 is 20 percent.

Quantification of payout for multiple low value items
If ten of your items sell for $300 each, you can expect a payout of $1,000. This is because the payout for each item that sells for $300 is 30 percent. If ten of your items sell for $100 each, you can expect a payout of $300. This is because the payout for each item that sells for $100 is also 30 percent. If ten of your items sell for $10 each, you can expect a payout of $10. This is because the payout for each item that sells for $10 is 10 percent.
The payout is lower for multiple low value items
If you retain Frame and Wheel to sell multiple miscellaneous components, wheels, frames and accessories, you can expect a payout as set out in Appendix 2. Similarly, if you retain Frame and Wheel to sell a bicycle that is incomplete, damaged, obsolete or in need of any kind of servicing, it is going to be disassembled and sold in pieces and therefore you can expect a payout as set out in Appendix 2. The payout is lower for multiple low value items because more work is required to prepare them for listing than a single high value item.
Buyout Price
f your item has not sold after 90 days, Frame and Wheel will pay you a buyout price and inventory your item. The buyout price is the fair market price less a discount that reflects the brand and specifications, wear and tear, previous secondary market transactions for comparable items and storage costs.
Cancellation
A cancellation fee based on the amount of work done will be charged in case you decide to take back your items after they have been dropped with us and prepared for sale.
